T'AI CHI & QIGONG

The Martial Art Form of T'ai Chi as well as the Art of QiGong (Chi Kung) support wellness and stability and provide a foundation for all of Sandra's work.

QiGong is an exercise of the breath, of life force. There are four catagories for QiGong:
   movement connected to the breath
   seated breathing exercises
   healing work, similar to Reiki
   Meditation, such as the Small Universe QiGong

T'ai Chi is a moving meditation that relaxes the body and mind. Sandra's primary focus is health and relaxation; the martial aspect is secondary, bringing an understanding of form and movement. Students frequently report increased good health and improved function and wellness. Typical classes include:
  Warm-ups
  Meditations
  QiGong and T'ai Chi

These are some of the many positive effects of T'ai Chi and QiGong.
* Regain Balance, Centeredness and Grounding
* Lower stress levels
* Regulate blood pressure
* Improves Tone and Balance
* Slows and eases the aging process
* Lifts depression and anxiety
* Exercise in a gentle, yet profound manner
* Raises energy levels in a state of Relaxation
* Increase Immune function

Sandra finds her practice of T'ai chi & QiGong provides grounding and a foundation enabling the entirety of her spiritual practice.

TUI NA

In 2005, Sandra was certified from the Xuan Wu hospital in Beijing in the Chinese therapeutic art of Tui Na. The applications she uses are massage and energy work combined together.*

* I am not a licensed massage therapist according to CT law, and am not allowed to do massage -- Tui Na is not related to massage, but is indeed a definitive Chinese healing art.
